Liturgical Committee
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. 1 Cor 12:4-6
About Us
The Liturgical Team comprises leaders from all the liturgical ministries in the Church of St Anthony. The team is guided by the Parish Priest who also acts as the Spiritual Director and is led by a core group originally tasked with planning of the Jubilee celebrations of the church. This team replaced the Liturgy Planning Committee (LPC) which was a standalone committee liaising with the other liturgical ministries vs the Liturgical Team which is formed by leaders of these ministries. This greatly facilitates the planning and execution of major liturgical events such as the Blessing of the Church and the upcoming Chrism Mass.
To facilitate God encounters through the Liturgy.
To foster cooperation and dedication by all liturgical ministries towards our worship of God
The Liturgical Team is formed by leaders from all the liturgical ministries namely:
- AV Team
- Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
- Lectors
- Servers
- Music Ministry
and is lead by a small team originally tasked with planning and execution of the Jubilee celebrations. The team works under the direct guidance of our Parish Priest who is also the Team’s spiritual director.
In addition to planning for the various feasts and solemnities of the Catholic Church, the team has been called to plan and run special liturgical events such as the Chrism Mass to be held in the Church of St Anthony in April 2020 and also to plan for the resumption of masses following the month long ban due to the COVID-19 virus.
